Wavefront-based Laser Refractive Surgery is carried out with a special CUSTOMIZED 3D iDESIGN® instrument and the WaveScan WaveFront® system, which makes a modification to the cornea so that the specialist can shape the tissue using the excimer laser.

During surgery, any irregularity present in the cornea or its curvature is modified, in order to ensure that the light that enters the eye is correctly projected onto the retina.

The surgery lasts approximately 15 minutes, and the procedure is completely painless and safe.

Visual alterations must be accurately measured, both in quantity and visual quality, through special tests that allow us to obtain high-level results:
  • VISUAL ACUITY: Determines the visual amount in percentages: where 0.1 is equivalent to 10% and 1.0 is 100% of vision equivalent to 20/20
  • BIOMICROSCOPY: Examination with a slit lamp and photographic system to determine the position, depth and size of any ocular pathology.
  • INTRAOCULAR PRESSURE: Determines eye pressure, ruling out the possibility of ocular hypertension or glaucoma.
  • SCANNER: It allows the detection of opacities at the ocular level (cataract-leukoma).

  • PENTACAM- 3D MAP OF THE CONEA: Determine the quality patient’s vision using a variety of data in diopters, microns and millimeters, providing an analysis of the curvature of the cornea in its dimensions to obtain a prognosis and surgical treatment.
